Our anniversary

I guess I was a little ahead of myself with saying I was back to blogging! Almost a month later.....here I am! Travis and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary on June 25. And by celebrated, I mean that I was at work. :( It's okay, we have plenty more to come.  We celebrated a couple nights later, though, and had a great time!

It started with gifts. I was so beyond excited about Travis's anniversary gift that I could hardly keep myself from telling him. I got him this print from theoldtry.

 

It's the traditional paper 1st anniversary gift and because we are both graduates of South Carolina, holds a little more special meaning.

We then had dinner at the Willcox, which is where we stayed on our wedding night. Dinner was delicious. (sidenote: the Willcox has been named on of the top 50 hotels in the world by Travel + Leisure magazine.)

When we came home, we had champagne and the top of our wedding cake. It was surprisingly good to have been in the freezer for a year.

It is crazy to think that I've been married to my best friend for a year now. While it's not been the easiest year (there were some majorly crazy parts) it really has been the best year of my life! I can't wait for many more to come!
